There isn't any other way to start this post besides saying: A FILM CLUB HAS A WEBSITE NOW!
After years of being Twitter-based, it felt like the right time to expand our horizons, and so afilmclub.co.uk was born! Whilst I am still planning to use Twitter as the main point of contact with you all, especially as I host our weekly chat there, undoubtedly there was a want to go one better.
With so many of you becoming members, I feel the club owes you the opportunity to continue showing off your incredible blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels, and Twitter pages in new and exciting ways. I certainly have big plans for what I would like A Film Club to be, and I am endlessly grateful to each and every one of you for joining us for the journey.
If you don't know anything about A Film Club, we are a hub of film-related content creators and film lovers alike. Like an offline club we meet once a week to discuss movies and cinema-related topics, but we also offer the opportunity for people to connect and share their work. With the internet being so vast, it can be difficult to find like-minded creators of film content - whether that is someone who runs a website, blog, podcast, YouTube channel, or even makes films - and that's where I want to help.
I feel like this is just the beginning for the club, so please feel free to take a wander around the site and let me know what you think over on Twitter. We chat every Thursday at 7pm from our Twitter page, so we'll catch you there!
Sending bigger boats and DeLoreans,
Creator of A Film Club
