The #cryptictweets and wait are finally over! I am beyond excited to share that A Film Club is releasing its first ever set of Stationery - perfect for Film Bloggers, fans, Podcasters, YouTubers and Writers. If you, like me, have been in search of somewhere to store your movie-related notes, reviews and theories, you are now in luck!
The A5 notepad has 48 lined pages ready for all of your movie musings. As it is printed on 300gsm white recycled board, each cover and page is textured with little lines and dots unique to the paper - making every one different. It is purposely small and lightweight for easy and accessible storage in a tote, backpack or large handbag; perfect for taking along to your local indie or multiplex for post-film scribbles. It also boasts a bold Film Strip pattern, with a retro 3D glasses vibe, designed and created by me.
In the set alongside the notepad is one customised and unsharpened, 2B graphite pencil, with pink eraser. I was especially excited when I first saw these, and was desperate to find a way of incorporating them into the film theme. I opted for the white coloured coating, and gold foil stamping that reads "I SHOULD BE WATCHING FILMS"... A statement I have found myself daydreaming on more than one occasion. The pencils feature wood from sustained yield forests.
Both the pencil and notepad were manufactured by a stationery company in the UK. Due to the nature of manufacture, all of the pencils and notepads vary slightly, and therefore I cannot guarantee that your items will look exactly the same as those pictured. Whilst I think their quirks are what give them personality, I wanted to make everyone aware of this before purchasing.
This stationery set will be sold at £6.00 plus P+P and in a limited run of 22*. All items are gift wrapped by hand and will be posted inside bubble-wrap envelopes to ensure they reach you safely. Unfortunately due to budget constraints, the set will only be available in the UK at this time, but I hope interest in the set will mean I can offer more in the future and with worldwide availability.
The reasons I wanted to put this set together were; to create something fun but useful for us film fans and creators, to hopefully raise a bit of money for Twitter giveaway prizes, and to test the waters for future merchandise. If you have any ideas for any merch you would like to see, please tweet us or get in touch via our email address - I would love to hear from you.
You will be able to buy the set from our Etsy shop - going live this Friday - so keep your eyes peeled for more information over on our Twitter. In the meantime, come and chat John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) with us this Thursday at 7pm!
